Badan Pengusahaan Kawasan Sabang (BPKS) bakal menyelenggarakan Sabang Marine Festival (SMF) pada 26-30 April 2019. Kegiatan ini akan diramaikan oleh puluhan yachter dari berbagai negara.

Deputi Komersial dan Investasi BPKS Agus Salim mengatakan, tahun ini pergelaran SMF akan memperkenalkan kebudayaan lokal kepada turis asing. Tujuannya, agar para turis merasakan pengalaman yang berbeda dan berinteraksi langsung dengan budaya lokal sehingga tercipta hubungan emosional yang lebih dalam.

"[SMF] tahun ini kita ingin perkenalkan budaya di tiga desa wisata dari 12 desa wisata di Sabang. Di desa wisata ini, kita perkenalkan kepada turis berbagai budaya lokal," kata Agus Salim kepada Bisnis, Sabtu (13/4/2019).

Tiga desa tersebut ialah Desa Jaboi yang dikenal dengan pemandian air panasnya, Desa Aneuk Laot dengan danaunya, dan Desa Krueng Raya. Di Desa Jaboi para turis akan melihat langsung cara membuat ikan kayu, membuat kopra dengan mengukur kelapa, hingga mengikuti pertandingan rakyat. 

Di Desa Aneuk Laot, mereka juga akan disuguhkan cara membuat kue tradisional dan atraksi budaya di Danau Aneuk Laot. Sementara di Desa Krueng Raya akan diperlihatkan proses pembuatan ikan asin. Para wisatawan yang juga yachter ini juga dijadwalkan makan siang bersama masyarakat.

Kebudayaan lokal dinilai menjadi daya tarik wisatawan, selain panorama alam serta keindahan bahari yang ada di Sabang. Di samping menghabiskan waktu di Sabang, wisatawan juga akan dibawa ke Banda Aceh untuk melihat berbagai situs tsunami. 

Kolaborasi halal torusim di Banda Aceh dan bahari tourism, tutur Agus Salim, diharapkan memberi kesan positif yang membekas ke wisatawan asing, sehingga mereka akan kembali berkunjung ke Sabang.

Agus Salim menyebutkan, efek dari berbagai kegiatan yang sifatnya mempromosikan Sabang, tidak langsung dirasakan masyarakat. Namun demikian, promosi memiliki efek positif jangka panjang yang pasti.

"Makin banyak kunjungan wisatawan, itu akan menghidupkan berbagai lini bisnis di Sabang, dari transportasi, kuliner, penginapan, souvenir, dan lainnya. Makanya kita terus mempromosikan Sabang agar semua orang tahu tentang keindahan Sabang," ujarnya.
